Like the album cover? It's actually very easy to do. I started with a piece of chipboard, and I left room so I could punch it through my zutter. I put down my title first, and then just added other chipboard letters everywhere. Once they were down, I painted over the whole thing with white paint, and once that was dry, I outlined the title with a sharpie. I saw this done on-line somewhere (I wish I could remember where so that I could give proper credit), but that artist used gesso to apply the letters. I skipped that step.... I used some older Heidi Swapp letters that I'd had for forever, and I felt very satisfied that I was able to use them all up... I've never done that before.
Now, I apologize for the image quality of some of these... I know they're a little yellow and a bit blurry, but it gives you an idea of what you can do too with all your great photos! The pages were made with some great Cosmo Cricket that had the wonderful bordered edges. I'd been hoarding that pp too for awhile, and it felt good to use that up.
And remember what I was saying about all the photos? Well, I cut some of them down, and put them into baseball card protectors. They were easy to put into the zutter too to add them to the book.
Fun eh? So I hope that gives you some more ideas of what you can do with all of your photos. Enjoy what's left of the summer, I'll see ya again soon!MULTI PHOTO LAYOUTS!!!!!
Do not be afraid to use more than one photo on your page. Do not be afraid of cropping a photo (dont like the results? Reprint it - it is 15 cents!). Dont be afraid of mixing different size photos on your layout (there are a ton of programs out there now to assist in resizing photos). Dont be afraid to mix black and white with colour photos on your layout.
I am not afraid to crop photos and print photos in different sizes. I use a mix of smaller and larger photos on a layout. Larger for more important ones, smaller to mix it up and tell more of the story or give/zoom in on details. I am not afraid to crop a photo...if I dont like the outcome, I reprint it (its 15 cents!).
Dont be afraid to mix up sizes, colour, black and white. Step outside of your comfort zone!!!!!

Can you see it now? It honestly looks a lot better if you could really see it, see it. Just a subtle hint of texture. I punched butterflies out of leftover patterned paper, and lined them up so that they would overlap just a little onto the flowered patterened paper. And speaking of the flowered pp, I also cut out a few flowers, and used pop dots and added them over top some of the ones on the pattern.
And here's a layout of our new kitten, gosh, he's grown a lot already! The yellow circles on the background, I stamped with paint onto a transparency. While the painted circles were still wet, I put it onto the paper, and as it dried, it glued itself into place. I wrote "introducing" by hand, and traced around it with a black Zig marker, cut it out, and inked up the edges of it. I didn't have enough black matching letter stickers for the rest of the title, so I used some older, leftover basic grey stickers, and coloured them all black with a marker.
